Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the developer of Blox Coins ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our Android app Blox Coins (the "App"). Blox Coins is a quiz and trivia game, with a crowd-runner mini-game for some players, in which you answer questions or complete levels, earn in-app points, and collect virtual reward coins. The App is free to play and supported by advertising.
We keep things simple: the App does not ask you to create an account and does not collect your name, email address, or phone number. The limited data described below is collected automatically, mainly by the advertising and analytics services the App uses. Please read this policy to understand what that means for you.
Information We Collect
Information you provide
None. The App has no registration, no sign-in, and no forms asking for personal details. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or contacts through the App.
Information collected automatically
When you use the App, we and our third-party service providers may automatically collect:
- Device information — device model, operating system version, language, screen size, memory and graphics capability, mobile network or connection type, sound settings (media volume, speaker or headphones, whether vibration and battery saver are on), and similar technical details.
- Advertising ID — the resettable Google Advertising ID assigned to your device, used by ad networks to serve and measure ads and to understand where installs come from. The Play Install Referrer may also be read for install attribution.
- Approximate region — a general location (such as your country) derived from your IP address by ad networks and analytics services. The App does not request any location permission and does not collect precise location.
- Usage data — how you interact with the App, such as screens viewed, quizzes played, session length, and in-app events, and the ads shown to you with the revenue they earn.
- Diagnostics and crash data — crash logs, performance measurements, and error reports that help us find and fix problems.
Your game progress (points, coins, and quiz history) is stored locally on your device only. It is not uploaded to our servers, and Android cloud backup for this data is disabled.
How We Use Information
- Advertising — to show ads (including optional rewarded ads) that keep the App free, and to measure ad performance.
- Analytics — to understand how the App is used so we can improve gameplay, content, and features.
- Install attribution — to learn which ad campaigns or channels bring players to the App, how those players use it and how much ad revenue they generate, and to report this to the ad network that ran the campaign so it can measure and optimize our campaigns.
- Stability and performance — to detect, diagnose, and fix crashes, bugs, and slowdowns.
- App improvement — to plan updates and new features based on aggregated usage patterns.
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, sharing your Advertising ID with advertising partners may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under some laws (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act); you can opt out by resetting or deleting your Advertising ID as described in the "Advertising & Your Choices" section below. We do not use your data to contact you for marketing.
Third-Party Service Providers
The App uses the following third-party services. Each provider processes data (such as your Advertising ID, device information, and approximate region) under its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review:
Advertising networks
- AppLovin — ad mediation and ad serving. The App uses AppLovin MAX to manage which network's ad is shown. AppLovin Privacy Policy
- Unity Ads — ad serving and measurement. Unity Player Privacy Policy
- Mintegral — ad serving and measurement (through AppLovin MAX). Mintegral Privacy Policy
- Yandex Ads — ad serving and measurement. The Yandex Ads SDK includes Yandex AppMetrica, which sends crash reports, diagnostic data, and device identifiers to Yandex so it can monitor and improve its SDK. Yandex Privacy Policy
Analytics, diagnostics, and attribution
- Google Firebase — app analytics (Firebase Analytics), crash reporting (Crashlytics), and performance monitoring. Firebase Privacy and Security. We also share our Firebase Analytics data (how the App is used, device information, approximate region and, where Firebase collects it, your Advertising ID) with Unity, which uses it to measure and improve the Unity Ads campaigns we run to find new players. Unity Player Privacy Policy
- Yandex AppMetrica — install attribution and app analytics. AppMetrica tells us which ad campaign (for example a Unity Ads campaign) brought you to the App and reports that install back to the ad network that ran the campaign; it also measures how the App is used. For this it collects your Advertising ID, the App Set ID and an identifier AppMetrica generates for your device, device information (such as device model, operating system version, language, screen size, and network type), install and usage events (such as the install, its source from the Play Install Referrer, app opens, and session length), and the revenue of the ads shown in the App. In the European Union, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the App does not currently ask for consent, so AppMetrica does not read your Advertising ID and does not send this data there: it keeps its records on your device only. Yandex Privacy Policy
Advertising & Your Choices
Consent for personalized ads
The App does not currently show a consent dialog. If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the App therefore does not tell the ad networks that you have agreed to personalized advertising: they apply their own rules for users who have not given consent, which usually means non-personalized ads. Yandex AppMetrica does not read your Advertising ID or send any data in these regions (see above). If a future version of the App adds a consent dialog, we will update this policy before it is released. Users elsewhere see a one-time notice about this Privacy Policy when they first open the App.
Opting out of personalized ads
You can limit or stop ad personalization at the device level at any time:
- Open your device's Settings → Google → Ads (wording may vary by device and Android version).
- Choose to reset your Advertising ID, or delete it entirely to stop it from being shared with apps.
You may still see ads after opting out, but they will be less tailored to you.
Your Rights (EEA/UK/Switzerland)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process personal data on the basis of our legitimate interests in analytics, diagnostics, showing and measuring the ads that keep the App free, and measuring the ad campaigns that bring new players to the App. The App does not currently ask for your consent, so it does not use your data for personalized advertising or for AppMetrica's install attribution in these regions. You can object to processing based on our legitimate interests by contacting us. You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, data portability, and objection, which you can exercise by contacting us at olgakrs683@gmail.com or directly with the third-party providers listed above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Data Storage & Retention
Your game progress is stored only on your device. If you uninstall the App or clear its data, that progress is deleted and cannot be recovered by us — we keep no copy.
Data collected by the third-party services listed above (such as advertising, analytics, and crash data) is stored on their systems and retained according to their own privacy policies. We do not maintain our own database of personal information about App users.
Notifications
The App may show local notifications (for example, reminders about the game). On Android 13 and above, notifications require your explicit permission, which you can grant or revoke at any time in your device settings. These notifications are generated on your device and do not involve sending your data anywhere.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. If you are under 13, you may use the App only with the permission of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information in connection with the App, please contact us at the email below and we will take appropriate steps to address it.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the limited data involved in operating the App, and the third-party providers we work with maintain their own technical and organizational safeguards. That said, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we change the services the App uses or when the law requires it. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and post the new version here. Significant changes may also be highlighted within the App. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
